Cory was born and raised in Macon, GA. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for 8 years. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune serving with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines. After completing his service obligation in 2005, he became employed by GEICO where he spent the next 16 years in insurance. He led multiple teams in Claims and Human Resources (HR). In 2019, he transitioned to Capital One where he supported Commercial Real Estate as a Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). As an HR Manager, Cory has experience in hiring, employee relations, performance management, process review and optimization, leave, benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, immigration, and philanthropy, to list a few.

He currently leads the Employee Relations – Human Resources and Employee Care Center at Booz Allen Hamilton in Mclean, VA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Business Administration from University of Maryland – University College.
